The cell is equipped with 2 separate wooden grids, plastic-coated steel grates, and a droppings tray. The pigeon cells can be stacked on top of each other and side by side in any number.

Assembly instructions (excerpt; full version available for download: click on "Media" below the article image):

Individual parts:

• Base plate: 4 pre-drilled holes for attaching the side panels
• Top plate: as above, plus 2 cutouts for the door grids (alignment towards the inside of the box)
• Side panels: rail for the door closure sliders (alignment: front; holes for the dowels facing downwards)
• Door grids A+B: arrangement can be interchanged as needed
• Droppings tray
• Wire bottom
• Back panel (attach locking mechanism as needed, either at the top or bottom)
• Door closure sliders (attach as needed, either at the top or bottom according to the back panel)
• Plastic clamp for opening the small wooden door
• Dowels, screws, nails

It is recommended to proceed with the assembly as follows:

1. Attach the side panels to the base plate and then secure the top plate (cutouts facing inward) using the provided long screws.
2. Carefully tap the dowels into the side panels from the inside, leaving them protruding about ¾ of the way, and place the wire bottom according to the illustrations. If the wire bottom falls through when fully aligned to the left or right, the dowels need to be pulled slightly out of the side wall.
3. Then, attach the back panel with the provided nails in any order (position the locking mechanism at the top or bottom depending on the position of the door closure sliders), fasten the closure mechanisms to the door grids using the short screws, and assemble the doors into the pigeon cell by applying gentle pressure.
